President Bebe Kinnett asked Wayne Leslie to lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Guest speaker, Michael ?? offered valuable information about succession planning and what steps to take for an easy exit strategy when a business owner retires.

BABA will host an ESBE Jewelry party on April 30 at 5:30. Logan Supermart and At The Barn Winery co-hosted. BABA gets the hostess perks and special deals.
Cindy Nixon explained about hiring a 5K professional to organize and execute the 5K. The cost is $1200. Jim Kinnett made a motion to approve the $1200, 2nd by Dan Hawkins. Motion passed.
Cindy Nixon set up a BABA display at UCB on Stateline Rd. She personally created the display and it portrayed BABA very nicely. The display will be up for a month. Future displays will be at Mainsource Bank and Cincinnatus.
Jim Kinnett reported the we still need golfers, hole sponsors and volunteers for the golf outing on May 21. Our goal is 100 golfers. Diane Bender will organize and stuff giveaway bags. Everyone was encouraged to offer something to put in the bags.
Bebe Kinnett and Debby Stutz will meet with Melissa Murphy from Eagle Radio 99.3 about possible sponsorship of the BABA-Q and 5K.
Diane Bender requested $750 to $1000 for 1000 logo pens and 1000 logo coozies as giveaways at the golf outing, Bright festival and BABA-Q/5K. Jim Kinnett made the motion to approve, 2nd by Cindy Nixon. Motion passed.
kDiane Bender reported to join forces with Bright Lions for auction booth at the Bright Festival. Diane will organize and make the gift baskets to be auctioned. This will be Diane’s last year to be in charge of the BABA booth at the festival.
Debby Stutz reported that plans are coming along nicely for the BABA-Q and 5K. Cindy Nixon and Debby will attend the next Commissioners meeting to have the 5K route approved.
Bebe made a plea for a Vice President, as well as successors for other board positions that will be open at year end.
Treasurer Wayne Leslie reported a balance of $7812.00
Mark Dunevant visited the meeting to talk about his idea of a walkway from Logan to Bright. This endeavor would enable people to ride bikes or walk for exercise and for pleasure.
