Bright Area Business Association Minutes
February 8, 2013
Meeting was called to order at The Beacon office. There 21 in attendance.
Dan Cross reported $1036 in treasury which is no change from last month. We welcomed a new member Christy Evers from Ed Jones. Several members extended BABA invitations to George’s Pharmacy and Prime Time Pizza.
We have 93 emails on our mailing list. Greg Gromwell and Pat Sullivan updated everyone on the Golf Outing on May 20 at Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course. It was decided that the event would benefit local charities. The biggest key to a successful outing is talking about it in the community and signing up golfers. Dale Lutz from Cornerstone Realty will sponsor a foursome for the event. The golf committee will continue to meet and plan the event. Greg and Pat distributed golf flyers that will be distributed to the community.
Diane Bender from Logan Supermart will head up the Festival committee this year. BABA will sponsor a basket booth that will be located closer to the beer garden in an effort to attract more participants. BABA will also have koosies available for people going in and out of the beer garden.
Molly Reynolds from Dearborn County Recycling Center offered a very informative presentation on recycling and the many ways we can utilize the recycling center in Aurora.
Those in attendance gave a very brief introduction and spot on specials they are offering this month.
