The weather for the Bright Festival this year was hot – hot – hot! But several lucky people got to spend time in the cool waters of the dunking booth to raise money for the fire department. This was the first year the Bright Area Business Association ran the dunking booth and is happy to report it raised $465 which will be donated to the Bright Fire & EMS. We would like to thank the following “dunkees”: Ken Fey, Owner of Fey’s Services; Austin Benkmeier; Tom Orschell, Dearborn County Commissioner; Valerie Cross, representing Dan Cross, CPA; Mike Armbruster, Owner Bright 4 Seasons Landscaping; Merrill Hutchinson, Guidance Counselor @ Bright Elementary; Jeff Hughes, Dearborn County Commissioner; Mike Martini, Owner of Bright Graphics; Dave Bartholomew, Lieutenant with the Bright Fire Department; Del Strickland with the Bright Fire Department and Ashley Amend & Christian Pangallo representing Logan Supermart.
The Bright Area Business Association would also like to thank the following people for working at the booth for the event: Bebe Kinnett, Owner of Absolute Web Design; Jim Kinnett, with The Kinnett Consulting Group; Joyce & Dan Cross with Dan Cross, CPA; Jim Mansfield with Mansfield Insurance Agency; Celeste Calvitto, Owner of the Bright Beacon; Sue Wagner, Owner of Straight Arrow 3D Archery and Marilyn South with the World Financial Group. Lastly, we would like to thank everyone who paid money to dunk their favorite person – whether it was a politician, business owner or community volunteer!! The $465 raised through the dunking booth will help the fire department continue their service to our community.
